Year Five - Class 5S 2024 - 2025

Our class teacher is Mr Folksman and our teaching assistant is Mrs Faulkner.

THINGS TO KNOW:

Monday: Homework sent home, usually  maths, grammar, weekly spellings and reading but this may vary. This will  be completed online using SATs Companion and individual passwords will be given out during the first couple of weeks of term.

The children will be dismissed daily at 15:15pm from the rear gate that leads onto the playing fields.

Friday: Spelling and times tables test will be taken on this day. Homework is usually due to be completed by Thursday.

PE DAY:

Our timetabled P.E lessons are a Tuesday (indoor session) and Wednesday (outdoor session) afternoons (this is subject to change).

Children are expected to attend school in their kits on this day - no shirts, skirts, tie or trousers are required.

Children can wear black leggings/green shorts as well as a school jumper or a cardigan.

READING:

Please try to read with your child as much as possible, this will be at the core of what we do in Year 5 as we prepare our children for Year 6 and beyond.

ATTENDANCE:

Our attendance target for this year is 96%. It is very important that your child attends school regularly and punctually so that they can achieve their full potential.

Children need to be in school and on time everyday, arriving between 8:40am and 8:55am ready for lessons to start.
