Year 4S 2020 - 2021

Mr Kenny

Welcome to 4S

Our class teacher is Mr Kenny and our teaching assistant is Miss Farrell. We also have Miss Boyle who works as 1:2:1 support.

Things to remember in Year 4:

We always try our very best, no matter how hard it gets!

Homework: Homework and book bags will be sent home on a Monday and are expected to be returned on Friday of the same week. Please only send book bags into school on Fridays to avoid any unnecessary cross contamination. We will leave these in isolation over the weekend.

PE: PE kits must be in school on Monday and Wednesdays as these are our timetabled PE lessons. Kits will be sent home every fortnight to be washed and then are to be returned in time for their next PE lesson.

Reading books: We ask that children have one reading book in their tray and they keep this book until it is finished. This can be a book they bring from home or a book from school but it must stay in school at all times until it needs to be changed.

Please read with your child every day.

Attendance: Our class attendance target for this academic year is 96%. We would therefore encourage you not to take your child out of school during term time as this would have an adverse effect on your child's learning. Children need to be in school on time every day, arriving between 8.40 and 9.00am at their designated entrance point.

Water bottles: We ask that each child comes to school with a water bottle. The water fountains in school are turned off for the time being due to COVID restrictions but we will provide water to refill water bottles when needed.

To find out about our learning in Year 4 please see our yearly overview on the curriculum page.
